Volume-boosting techniques: step-by-step

You've chosen the perfect volumizing mascara, but now it's time to make sure you're following the right steps, otherwise you'll miss out on all the benefits of your volumizing mascara.

Step 1: Prepare your eyes

Ensure you start with the brightest, healthiest-looking eyes by using an eye cream in your daily skincare routine. Use gentle patting/tapping movements with your fingertip to ensure complete absorption. This will firm the skin around your eyes and bring a glow to your expression. Remember to always be careful when applying products around the eye area.

Step 2: Ready those lashes

You can give your lashes a natural curl even before you apply mascara by using a warmed-up eyelash curler. Don't press too hard otherwise you risk over-curling and/or damaging the lashes. For a maximum volume, apply Lancôme's Cils Booster XL, a primer for your lashes.

Step 3: Application

Tricks on using make-up with your volumizing mascara

For a hypnotic gaze

To make sure your eyes really draw people in (only letting them go when you decide!), a black kohl eyeliner such as Lancôme's Crayon Khôl is your secret make-up weapon.
